We are going to install the Surveillance Station first on the Synology. In this article, I will help you add the Unifi Camera to the Synology Surveillance Station. With the Surveillance Station, you can record videos based on motion or time, send alerts when motion is detected, and save the recording for a given amount of time. If you have a Synology NAS, then you can connect your Unifi Camera to the Synology Surveillance Station. But you need a device to record the videos on, an NVR. Now you could buy the Unifi NVR, but they are pretty expensive if you only want to record a couple of cameras at home or at the office. They are priced really nice and deliver high-quality video recordings.

PS2 tried configuring camera as a ONVIF compatible camera but some features are missing (e.g.The Unifi Camera is a really good choice. PS camera works in all of its features (1080p/audio/PTZ) with the Wansview mobile APP so I can exclude camera defects.
